Hatstand Limited, based in London's Tower Hill, has been providing independent, professional consultancy to the financial services industry since 1999.

Hatstand began life in 1999 as Unidata Consulting Services. Unidata Consulting was the UK arm of the US company, Unity and initial business was levered from existing relationships and peers. By mid-2002, despite a very tough trading environment, Unidata Consulting enjoyed healthy business and discussions began with Unity over a proposed management buy-out. The buy-out was completed in May 2003 and Hatstand Limited was born.

Hatstand moved to its own offices in London's Leman Street in August 2003. Significant milestones in Hatstand's history to date have included contracts to develop a global infrastructure strategy at Société Generale; trade order management development for UBS; and GL Trade, Fidessa and Client Connectivity Architecture Support at Merrill Lynch.

Following a successful year in 2005 with further growth to over 50 consultants and corresponding strengthening of revenue, Hatstand consolidated its presence in the City with a move to new offices at Tower Hill.
